The Egyptian Group of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (affiliated to The Egyptian Society of Surgeons) was founded in December 1996.
Vision:
The Egyptian Group of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (EGCRS) is the recognized authority on promoting the surgery of conditions and diseases of the colon, rectum and anus in Egypt.
Mission:
The mission of The Egyptian Group of Colon and Rectal Surgeons is to improve the quality of care of the patients with diseases of the colon and rectum through the training and continuing education of colon and rectal surgeons, and by encouraging teaching and research pertaining to the colon and rectum.
Objectives:
- Improve practice of colon and rectal surgery.
- Promote standards, ethics and training in colon and rectal surgery amongst health care professionals.
- Disseminate information to health care professionals and the public on issues related to diseases of the colon, rectum and anus.
- To promote the interchange of information nationally and internationally through collaboration with other national and international similar societies and groups.
